" 5 Eyes" (2002) and "Five Reasons" (2004) are two successful and in Germany widely spread format comparisons which I directed. They show clearly the quality and limits of different formats when shooting HD vor TV and cinema distribution. I confronted the formats under real shooting conditions forcing them to their limits and beyond. For easy understanding I am evaluating the formats in splitscreens and repeated scenes commenting and showing the results.

Auswertung mit HD Screenshots

In der HTML Präsentation können sie meine Auswertung nach Themen geordnet in Ruhe betrachten. Hier sind Informationen zu finden, wie der Formatvergleich gedreht und postproduziert wurde. Mit welchen Kameras, mit welchem Filmmaterial, mit welchen Settings wurde gedreht. Wie war der Workflow der Postproduktion vom Schnitt über HD-Online, der Farbkorrektur bis zur Ausbelichtung auf 35 mm Negativ.

Der Formatvergleich "5 Eyes" (2002) und die Kurzfilme in 35 mm und Super 16 (Kodak Vision1) können als QuickTime Film in Pal (720 x 575) heruntergeladen werden. Die DVD der nordmedia ist mittlerweile vergriffen.
